Beauty queen Anya Ayoung-Chee is to speak after the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) on the much talked about sex scandal involving herself, her boyfriend Wyatt Gallery and a close friend.

She has said that a media conference on the issue will be held after CHOGM as she ’does not want to embarrass the country’ in front of visitors and take away from the event.

Ayoung-Chee, who represented the country at the 2008 Miss Universe pageant in Vietnam, is expected to clarify what her New York-based image consultant Mike Paul has termed ’misconceptions’ about the video.

She has also said through Paul, who deals with repairing reputations in crisis, ’that she believes someone is trying to ruin her reputation with the release of the sex tape at a critical time in her career’.

Paul, who has been fielding questions for Ayoung-Chee and her photographer boyfriend, believes the person or persons may work in the fashion business in Trinidad and have aided in the spread of a ’racy’ video starring Ayoung-Chee.

Ayoung-Chee’s boyfriend, who is also in the footage, said the tape was ’private’ and never meant to be seen.

Paul told the Express, ’She believes they (those sabotaging her) are very jealous of her and they are actively trying to sabotage her new success in fashion with her new clothing line.’

Paul also said the duo will move to file a suit against the computer repair shop which is believed to have leaked the sexually explicit footage of Gallery, his girlfriend and a female friend of theirs to the public when he took his computer to repair.

A local team of lawyers is now doing the paperwork.
